A peaceful, serene environment helped me so much and prepared me for sober living. Loved going back for Sunday meetings and lunch. Stayed sober for 16 years and barely survived a 5 year relapse after withdrawing from AA.
Checked in to CFR on my current sobriety date 10/7/11 and learned to live again, forever grateful to my counselor Nancy O’Neil! Rejoined AA with full surrender and willingness, sponsorship, lots of meetings and retreats. Prepared me for hardships (divorce) and for a life I love now.
I still consider MVF my home and a birthplace.
